Sample JCL for running APIEXEC as a batch job, along with some examples of parameter usage

APIEXEC can be run directly from a TSO command line, or as a batch job by using the IBM IKJEFT01 utility. The EXEC uses NVBAPI to access MainView Transaction Analyzer through the BMC AMI Ops host server. Before you run APIEXEC, you need to know the following:

  • IP address or name of the BMC AMI Ops host server
  • Port number of the host server

For information about specifying search terms in the EXEC, see Using-search-tokens.
