Testing the CDS query


Use the following procedure to test the CDS query.

To test the CDS query

  1. Set the TIME command to include the time period for which you want to retrieve data.To set the TIME command, type TIME on the COMMAND line. Type HELP TIME for information about the command.
  2. Under Tape & HSM Views on the EZSRM Menu, select DFSMS/HSM to access the EZSRMHSM Menu.
  3. Under DFHSM CDS Query Views on the EZSRMHSM Menu, select Migrated Data Set View to advance to the migrated data sets data entry dialog.
  4. On the migrated data sets dialog, complete the following fields:
    • In the Data Set Name field, type a DSN mask for data sets that you know are migrated. For example, type TEST/ to match all data sets that begin with TEST.
    • In the Data Set Type parameter field, type A.
    • In the Migration Level parameter field, type A.
    • In the Include Catalog Info parameter field, type Y for Yes.
  5. Press PF3 or the END command to display the MainView SRM HSM Migrated data set report.If the data set report is not displayed, ask the following questions:
    • Did you use a valid password?
    • Did you correctly specify the data set name mask?
    • Is the HSM collector started? Type COMPSTAT as a primary command to see the Component Status view. Make sure that the HSM collector is active.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
