Display item types


Display items are objects placed on a view or dashboard to describe or depict data available in the MVMM Monitor Console via the MVMMTopic Service and the MVMM History Service. The display items are represented by buttoned icons on the View pane toolbar.

This section lists alphabetically and describes each display item type and, for each, lists the purpose for which it is used, the property tabs in its properties dialog box, and, where applicable, where in the provided views you can find an example of the display item.

Each display items has a purpose as described in the following table.

Graphic

To create presentable and readable views and dashboards. To customize a view with company logos and images.

Action

To trigger an action when the user clicks the item.

Real time data

To monitor data in real time as it is monitored.

Real time data graphic

To indicate some change of state in monitored real-time data. An animated object is a collection of images linked to a script. The image displayed is the first one in the script that evaluates as true.

Low-resolution history data

To display of low-resolution history data.

High-resolution real-time data

To present data trending.

Label

To add descriptive text.
