Working with contacts


The contacts tab allows you to store the names and e-mail addresses of MainView Middleware Monitor administrators. Use this feature in conjunction with the events editor to configure event actions that automatically send e-mails to administrators on-call.

The contacts tab contains a contact list and a calendar. The calendar contains a standard (default) schedule as well as an override schedule for each contact.

Once your contacts' on-call schedules are set up, you can configure the e-mail action in an event to e-mail the on-call contact when the event occurs.

You can set a schedule for each contact listed in the contact list. First set up a default schedule in the Standard On-Call pane (left). Then you enter any exceptions to the contact's default schedule in the appropriate date/time slots in the weekly schedule pane (right).
