Selecting a report design


When a new report display item is added to a view or dashboard, a report design must be selected. A new design can also be selected for an existing report by pressing the Browse button on the Properties dialog box's Report tab.

  1. Select a report design from the Report Designs dialog box. The table lists the report title, description, and design file name. The Filter field can be used to filter the designs listed in the table. Click OK to use the selected report design.
  2. Select the report period and resolution.
  3. Bind parameters to values by selecting the button in the Value column of the Parameter table. This allows you to bind the parameter to an attribute value, a literal value, or to leave the parameter unbound (i.e. not assigned to any particular value). Required parameters must be bound to a value.
  4. Click the OK button to accept the changes. The report display item displays the data for the selected design and parameter bindings.
