Uninstalling the HTTP Server monitoring extension


This section describes how to uninstall the HTTP Server monitoring extension and includes:

To uninstall the HTTP Server monitoring extension from Windows platforms

  1. Stop the monitoring on the monitoring extension you want to uninstall. At a command prompt, enter qphttp --status to ensure that the monitoring extension is stopped. If it is running, enter qphttp --stop.
  2. Enter qphttp --config.
  3. Enter unregister to remove the HTTP Server monitor instance from the MainView Middleware Monitor Management Console. If you do not unregister the monitoring extension before removing the monitoring extension, then the node remains in the explorer pane although there is nothing to monitor.
  4. Enter delete host to stop monitoring that HTTP Server monitor instance.
    host is the name of the computer on which the HTTP Server monitor instance is running.
  5. Enter qphttp --remove to remove the monitoring extension.

To uninstall the HTTP Server monitoring extension from UNIX platforms

  1. Stop the monitoring on the monitoring extension you want to uninstall. At a command prompt, enter qphttpl.sh --status to ensure that the monitoring extension is stopped. If it is running, enter qphttpl.sh --stop.

    For Linux, enter qphttpl.sh --status and qphttpl.sh --stop
  2. Enter qphttp.sh --config.

    For Linux, enter qphttpl.sh --config
  3. Enter unregister to remove the HTTP Server monitor instance from the MainView Middleware Monitor Management Console. If you do not unregister the monitoring extension before removing the monitoring extension, then the node remains in the explorer pane although there is nothing to monitor.
  4. Delete the directory containing the HTTP monitoring extension.
