Running the scripts to create and initialize the database
Before you begin
You must have completed one of the following tasks:
- Creating-and-initializing-Db2-on-Windows
- Creating-and-initializing-Db2-on-Linux
- Creating-and-initializing-Oracle-on-Windows
- Creating-and-initializing-Oracle-on-Linux
- Creating-and-initializing-a-Microsoft-SQL-Server-database
The script files have names that indicate their purpose. For example, the Db2 scripts are named: db2.create.sql and db2.init.sql.
Different versions of the scripts are provided for Windows and for Linux. If the tool you use to run the scripts is on Windows, use the scripts from the Windows directory irrespective of the operating system on which the database and services are installed. Likewise, if the tool you use to run the scripts is on Linux, use the scripts from the Linux directory irrespective of the operating system on which the database and services are installed.
Re-running the scripts
If you need to rerun either of the scripts, contact BMC Support. Have the log files (database.create.log, database.init.log) available to send to BMC Support. The commands for running the scripts include parameters for creating the logs as described in the section on running the scripts.
