Setting up a policy to create the IBM MQ Connection server connection
Before you begin
You must know the following information:
To set up a policy using the Create IBM MQ Connection action
- From the Policies tab, click the Policy Actions tab.
From the list of policy action types, click on Administrator_IBM_MQ_Connection. The expression for this policy will be tailored to match IBM MQ queue managers that will have the same channel definitions. For example, they will have the same server connection channel name, listener port and authentication records.
- Click the Create a New Policy Action icon.
- In the displayed dialog box, select Create Administrator IBM MQ Connection, enter a Name and Description, and click Create.
In the right side of the Policies tab, enter the action details, or channel definition for this action, to define the server connection, as shown below.

Test the connection and check the status of the MQ and IBM MQ Connection configuration.
