MVMM data sets

The MVMM data sets represent different kinds of queries related to the MVMM History Service. Used individually, or combined into a report design, they can be used to build complex reports. When developing reports for specific objects (e.g. a report that always presents data for a WebSphereMQ Local Queue), the following data sets are the best choice:

  • Low Resolution History for Static Attributes - for low resolution history, where the attributes can be known at design time.
  • High Resolution History for Static Attributes - for high resolution history, where the attributes can be known at design time.
  • Monitored Objects associated to a History Template - to query which monitored objects are available for history queries (e.g. to drive a aggregate report).

For more generic, dynamic reporting, the following data sets are the best choice (typically these are only required for advanced reporting, where you want a one-size-fits all report design).

  • History Attributes on a Monitored Object - to query which attributes are available for history queries.
  • Low Resolution History for Dynamic Attributes - for low resolution history, where the attributes are not known at design time.
