Working with the Object Repository

The Object Repository enables you to view and act on the proactively discovered WebSphere MQ objects in the MainView Middleware Monitor repository. All operations are performed in the Object Repository tab.

When you connect an agent to the Topic Service, the information about that agent's WMQ and other monitored objects are stored in the repository. The tables in the repository are maintained by a process called discovery, via registration, deregistration and manual synchronization.

Currently, only the WebSphere MQ extension (qpmon) supports discovery, depending on its configured mode.
