What are events and how to define them


An event is a trigger/action pair, defined by event rules. An event rule is a combining of a trigger and an action. Specifically, an event rule contains the following components:

  • The rule name
  • Triggers
  • Actions
  • Contacts (used with action types that require contacts)

Creating a new rule is a process of creating its parts first. After the parts have been created, you assemble the rule. Further information is detailed in the following topics:
