The object-specific Copy operation is available from the Operations drop-down menu for all objects that can be created through MainView Middleware Administrator. The Copy operation enables you to create a new object from a selected object of the same type. This includes administrative objects available from the Admin Console as well as WMQ or EMS objects accessible through the User Console.

WMQ objects - Queues, Channels, Topics, Subscriptions, Listeners, Services, Processes, Namelists, Authentication Information, Communication Information, Authority Records

EMS objects - Queues, Topics, Bridges, Durables, Routes, Groups, Users, Connection Factories

To copy an object

  1. From the Operations drop-down menu, select Copy As... (this option will differ according to the object selected).
  2. The object's Properties Editor fills the workspace.
  3. Define any enabled properties fields (refer to IBM WebSphere MQ documentation for more information).
  4. Click the Save icon.
