Using the events option (in the Global Actions Bar)

To view active or reset events, simply choose the events option from the Global Actions Bar, shown below.

Note that the events option from the Global Actions Bar is not supported in MainView Middleware Administrator (Monitor Edition).

See a summary of the functionality differences between the full version of MainView Middleware Administrator and MainView Middleware Administrator (Monitor Edition).

The number indicated on the events link is the current number of active Critical events. If there are no active Critical events, but there are active Warning events, then it will indicate the number of active Warning events.

Event values shown in red indicate there are Critical and maybe Warning events; values shown in yellow (as shown in the images below) indicate there are Warning events but no Critical events.

All active events are shown by default, including Critical and Warning events.

To view events for a particular connection, click on the connection name in the Active Events view. You can then display details of a particular event by clicking on the plus icon next to the event, as shown below.

To view Reset Events, click on the Show reset events button from the Active Events view. You can limit the time range of events that are displayed using the Show Events For option list, which provides a list of ranges from 24 hours to 180 days.
