Saving messages to a file
- Choose the appropriate options:
- In the Messages for Queue Summary View, click Save from the Operations drop-down menu for each individual message.
- To save multiple messages, select the check box in the Select column for each message and then select Save from the Operations drop-down menu.
- (Optional) Select the Data-only File check box to save the messages without any MainView Middleware Administrator meta-data or WMQ metadata (such as MQMD headers). Messages can be saved into single or multiple files or into a zip file. Note that the files will be readable in text format.
- Click Save To File, and in the Save dialog box, browse to the location where you want to save the file.
- Click OK to save the message(s) to a file (in .json format (not if you selected Data-only File)). Note that the message will be readable (depending on the actual message content; for example, if the message is in EBCDIC or binary format you will not be able to read it) if the message data format is indicated as MQSTR in the message headers.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
