Managing TIBCO EMS server objects

The Server object (the server associated with the selected connection) provides an overview of TIBCO Server status. The operations available next to the managed server lets you work with specific functional aspects.

Note

Instructions here and for the remainder of TIBCO EMS navigation panel objects assume that you have first selected a TIBCO EMS connection.

To work with any server, do the following:

  1. In the Navigation Panel select Server.
  2. The Server Status view is displayed, from which you can select the following:
  • Shutdown: Shuts down the server. Be aware of this action's potential impact on the TIBCO EMS system.
  • Rotate Logs: Backs up the current log file and creates a new one. Forestalls state in which the server log file becomes difficult to manage because of its size.
  • Audit: Lets you view the last related (10) audit log entries and access audit events related to the server, such as a record of changes made previously to the selected server.

To access the selected Server's Properties Editor, click on the Server Name.

Note

You can configure the log to rotate automatically at pre-determined intervals. See TIBCO EMS user documentation for additional information on configuring logs automatically.
