Administering TIBCO EMS objects

MainView Middleware Administrator (MVMA) provides for the administration of TIBCO EMS servers and objects managed by those servers. This section is intended for the TIBCO EMS server administrator and includes the following topics:

The MVMA User Console is where you can create and manage TIBCO EMS-administered objects such as Durables, Topics, and Queues. You should take into consideration that all Navigation Panel objects relate to specific servers. A standard set of objects is displayed when you select a connection to any TIBCO EMS server.

For the TIBCO EMS functionality to be supported in the User Console, your Product Administrator must have obtained and installed necessary EMS components and the product key.

Note that TIBCO EMS objects are not supported in MainView Middleware Administrator (Monitor Edition).

See a summary of the functionality differences between the full version of MainView Middleware Administrator and MainView Middleware Administrator (Monitor Edition).

In the sections that follow, specific concepts, tasks and procedures that relate to a TIBCO EMS administrator's work are described. Also described are tasks and procedures that are key to each TIBCO EMS connection object. Refer to the TIBCO EMS User's Guide for conceptual information regarding TIBCO EMS
