Accessing the User or Admin Console

To work with MainView Middleware Administrator (MVMA), you must log on to the User Console, accessed through a standard web browser.

Note that if you are logging in as the Product Administrator, the steps below are exactly the same (however, if you are accessing MVMA for the first time you will need to apply a license key, as described in Accessing-MainView-Middleware-Administrator-after-installation).

Note

The browsers that work with the product are as follows:

  • Internet Explorer versions 10, 11
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Chrome

To log in to the User or Admin Console

  1. Open your browser and access the product URL:  http://hostname:8080/bmmadmin

    Note

8080 is the default port in the URL and may be set to a different value, depending on the operating environment. If for any reason you cannot connect, contact your Product Administrator.

  2. Enter your User Name and Password, and click Log In.

On authentication, the User Console is displayed. See Navigating-the-User-Console.

If you are logging in as the Product Administrator, click admin console in the Global Actions Bar to display the Admin Console. See Navigating-the-Administration-Console
