The LDAP_ADMIN model
The LDAP_ADMIN security model is the second of the five security models available for MainView Middleware Administrator. It is the first model to 'delegate' authentication tasks to an external source, in this case a LDAP server. The LDAP protocol executes authentication checks on each user login attempt.
While authentication is handled externally, authorization is performed within the application space. The Product Administrator is responsible for configuring both users (these users need to match the existing users in the LDAP server) and groups, as well as projects, connections and permissions in MainView Middleware Administrator.
