  3. Select the Put Method:
    • Generic
    • Publish
    • JMS

      Important

Publish and JMS Put Methods are sent with message properties that you can specify, as described in the following steps.

  4. Select Set Context to enable message properties related to the message Context as e.g. for setting the Put Date/Time (millis) or properties from the Context category.

    Important

By default, Set Context is unselected and the message is created with the default context.

    Important

Available fields for setting message header properties and payload are grouped by categories that can be collapsed or expanded as needed.

  5. To set properties for the RFH/2 header, select RFH1 or RFH2 as the Message Format to enable the fields in the Rules and Formatting Header category.
  6. In the Message section, define message contents in the text box (in the Text tab).
  7. From the Generic Options toolbar, click the Put Message icon to put the new message to the queue. The Messages for Queue Summary view should be displayed with the new message added to the list.
  8. Optional - Click the Cancel icon to return to the Messages for Queue Summary View without saving the new message.
