Operating environments

MainView Middleware Administratorcan be installed in the following operating environments or systems: 

  • Microsoft Windows 2016 Server (64-bit), 2019 Server (64-bit), 2022 Server (64-bit).
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux 8.x and 9 (64-bit on Intel/AMD x86).
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 (64-bit on Intel/AMD x86).
  • Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (64-bit on Intel/AMD x86) 20.04 LTS (64-bit on Intel/AMD x86), 22.04 LTS (64-bit on Intel/AMD x86), and 24.04 LTS (64-bit on Intel/AMD x86). 

Separate installation procedures exist for Windows and Linux environments. For Windows users, an installation wizard steps you through the process. Linux users install either through a Console or using a GUI wizard.

Starting with MVMA 9.2.00 MongoDB is no longer contained in and installed with MVMA but must be downloaded and installed separately on the system where MVMA is installed. Therefore, consider MongoDB's specific system configuration recommendations, especially when running MVMA  in production. For details, see Production Notes for Self-Managed Deployments in MongoDB Manual.
