Managing MQSC Console Administrators


Starting from MVMA 9.1.00.E, a product administrator can grant users access to the MQSC Console as per the following:

  • Directly: Assign a user the role of an MQSC Console Administrator.
  • Indirectly: Assign the role of MQSC Console Administrator to a group, where the user is a member of the same.

To assign MQSC Console Administrator role to users

  1. Select MQSC Console Administrators from the Navigation Panel.
  2. The MQSC Console Administrators view is displayed as shown below.

  3. To assign a new user to the MQCS Console Administrators role, navigate to the Users section and click the New button. The Select User(s) to Add window is displayed.
  4. In the Select User(s) to Add window, click the Request button to populate available usernames into the dialog. (Optional) Enter a filter expression in the Filter field to narrow down the list of usernames that match the expression.

  5. Select one or multiple usernames from the list and click the OK button to confirm your selection. The selected names are added to the list of Users to be assigned as MQSC Console Administrators.
  6. To remove an assigned user from the list of MQSC Console Administrator, click the dropdown menu next to the username and select Remove:

To assign MQSC Console Administrator role to one or multiple groups

  1. In the Groups section, click the New button. The Select Groups(s) to Add window is displayed.
  2. In the Select Groups(s) to Add window, click the Request button to populate the names of the available groups. (Optional) Enter a filter expression in the Filter field to narrow down the list of groups that match the expression.

  3. Select one or multiple names of groups you want to add and click OK to confirm the selection.
  4. To remove an assigned group from the list of MQSC Console Administrators, click the dropdown next to the group’s name and select Remove.
  5. Save your changes.
