IBM MQ and TIBCO EMS version support

MainView Middleware Administrator (MVMA) works with the following versions of MVMA, IBM MQ Appliance, and TIBCO EMS:

  • IBM MQ Versions 9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, and 9.3.2
  • IBM MQ Appliance Versions 9.0, and 9.1
  • TIBCO EMS Versions 8.4, 8.5, 8.6, 10.1, and 10.2.x.

IBM MQ client requirements

To use IBM MQ with MVMA, there must be an IBM MQ client installation on the MVMA services machine (you must intall the IBM MQ client before installing MVMA). We recommend that you install the latest version of the IBM MQ client. At a minimum, you should install the 9.0 client.

Warning

To install MVMA with MQ client 9.2.4 or later, you must first install MVMA9.1 GA along with an earlier version of the MQ client. After you complete, update MVMA to Fix Pack 9.1.00.D or later and upgrade the MQ client used with MVMA to version 9.2.4 or higher.

However, this procedure might not be applicable for future versions of MQ. We cannot assure you that this process will work with newer versions of MQ.
