Configure RTCS

The 

BMC Runtime Component System

 (

RTCS

) runs as a started task that is started soon after the system IPL occurs. This address space provides programming services to all of the CASs, PASs, and UASs.

RTCS is designed for continuous operation and seldom if ever needs to be stopped.

Before using RTCS, you must complete the configuration tasks, which are documented in Administering-Runtime-Component-System-RTCS.

Tip

This task is required for all MainView products except MainView FOCAL POINT, to which it does not apply.
