User Authentication
Operators wishing to view CCS console sessions are required to authenticate themselves before being permitted to connect to the desired session; the authentication may be done using either a local user database maintained using the MVCM web configuration or by a customer-supplied external authentication program allowing you to validate users against external databases such as RACF on your mainframe. The User Authentication page allows you to define which authentication method will be used.

Password File

Use the Password File pulldown menu to select which one of the available files will be used by this server and the Edit, Add and Delete buttons to the right to modify, create and remove password files.
Edit
Clicking the Edit button will pop up a User Management window listing the users defined within the selected password file allowing you to add, modify or delete users.
Add
Clicking the Add button will pop up an Add Password File window prompting you for the name of the new password file, once you enter a name and click the Save button then the User Management window will be opened allowing you to add users.
Delete
