MVCA Server


The HMC Connection Configuration specifies the information needed to connect to an HMC and receive informational messages from it. Note: the HMC must be specifically configured to permit this access and you must know what those settings are. The name of the current Automation server you are working with.

HMC Name

The name used in the Automation server HMC list and used to tag any messages received from the HMC.

Host Name

The host name or IP address used to connect to the HMC.

Community String

Sets the community string for the SNMP transactions. The community string must match the configuration in the HMC for the IP address of the computer running SecureHMC.

SNMP Port

Clicking the Start button will start the session. This button is disabled if the server is not running, if the session is already running, or if the session is disabled.

Timeout

Clicking the Stop button will stop the session. This button is disabled if the server is not running, if the session is stopped, or if the session is disabled.

Startup Script

RDL2 code that is executed when the Automation server starts the HMC session. This would normally be a function call, for exampleloadIPLvalues()

Save

Clicking the Save button save the modified settings and return you to the HMC session list.

Cancel

Clicking the Cancel button will delete the HMC session.
