HMC


Enable

Displays an image indicating whether or not the session is enabled or disabled. The Automation server automatically connects to enabled sessions when it is started. Clicking on the enable/disable image will switch the session between being enabled and disabled.

Name

Displays the name of the session. The session name is used when defining viewers and also in the various RDL2 functions that interact with the HMC.

Host

Displays the host name (or IP address) used to connect to the HMC.

Status

Indicates whether or not the session is operational.

Start

Clicking the Start button will start the session. This button is disabled if the server is not running, if the session is already running, or if the session is disabled.

Stop

Clicking the Stop button will stop the session. This button is disabled if the server is not running, if the session is stopped, or if the session is disabled.

Edit

Clicking the Edit button will pop up a new window with the MVCA-Server displayed for editing purposes.

Delete

Clicking the Delete button will delete the HMC session.

Commands

Clicking the Commands button will bring up the HMC-Commands with the currently defined list of commands and allow you to create, modify and delete commands.

Status Detail

Displays operational status with a bit more detail.
