SecureHMC Connections
The HMC Connections page lists the HMC proxy connections that have been enabled for operator use from this web page. If the HMC Proxy service is active then the connection name may be clicked on to go to the logon page for access to that HMC.
A Console Automation Server can connect to one or more Hardware Management Consoles (HMCs). The HMC Connections page displays the currently defined HMC sessions with their status and allows an Automation servers connections to individual HMCs to be started, stopped and modified.
An HMC must be properly configured to allow a Console Automation Server to receive messages and send commands. See the IBM document System z Application Programming Interfaces (order number SB10-7030-14), chapter 6 'Configuring for the data exchange APIs' for the complete details.
