Rule Assignments

The Rules tab allows for rules to be assigned to sessions, and for the rule evaluation order to be specified. Form rules are also defined here.

You can assign rules one or more sessions in the following way:

  1. Check one or more sessions checkboxes located on the left of the session name.

    Note

    Rules assigned to more than one session will have a checkmark while rules that are assigned to one rule but not the other will be filled in.

  2. The rule assignment are saved immediately as changes are made.

  3. You can change the order of the rules by selecting the rule and dragging it into place.

    Note

    To see which sessions have a particular rule assigned to it, simply move the mouse over a rule and the sessions which have the rule assignment will be highlighted.

Hide Unassigned Rules

When the Hide unassigned rules checkbox is checked, only the rules assigned to the selected sessions are displayed.

Refresh

Click the Refresh button will update the list of rules based on changes made in the RDL2 editor or other browser sessions

Add RDL2

Click the Add RDL2 button will start the RDL2 editor.

Add FORM

Click the Add FORM button will create a new form rule. See Form-Rules.

Activate

Click the Activate button will force the current MVCA server to apply any changes to the currently running sessions.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
