The Console Type selection area enables you to change the defaults on the screen processing tab. You can choose from the drop-down menu whether you want a z/VM or z/OS session. A new z/VM Host session field allows administrator to specify which console is connected to the z/VM host and if the consoles are for a z/VM guest.

Host

The name of the host on which the CCS server is running. Should be localhost unless the CCS server is not on the same MVCM computer as this Automation server.

Port

The port number if the CCS server accepts standard client connections.

Use SSL Port

If CCS server accepts SSL client connections then you may check this box and enter the SSL port in the provided field.

CCS Session

Enter the name defined in the CCS server for this console.

User Name

Enter a valid user name used to authenticate the Automation servers access to this console. It is strongly recommended that this not be an operator user ID.

Password

Enter the password for the above user name.

Save

Use the Save button to save the new or modified session information.

Cancel

Cancel the Edit Session action.
