Using the Viewer
You use the Viewer to send commands to the mainframe and monitor messages.

- Logging-into-the-viewer You log into the viewer by entering your username and password into the Login dialog box.
- Viewer-panes Each pane (Explorer, Scrolling message pane, Input pane, Priorty Message Pane, Dashboards, Alerts, etc.) may or may not be included in the viewer definition, so they may not always be present. The button to the left of the text field displays the current session, which is the session to which commands are sent. When the button is clicked a menu with all the sessions appears and the operator may select a different session. When another session is selected, the text of the button changes. The button in the top left launches the session viewer. When the current session changes, its text changes as well.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
