BMC MainView Console Management for zEnterprise enables you to perform many tasks on z/OS system through a web browser.
- BMC-MainView-Console-Management-web-configuration The MainView Console Management home page contains links for the following:
- BMC-MainView-Console-Management-System-configuration The System Configuration web pages allow administrators to view the current operational status of the server and perform other administrative function such as upgrading the software and rebooting the server. BMC Software Support may instruct administrators to go to these pages to generate and download files that contain log files, etc. about the server's status.
- BMC-MainView-Console-Automation-Viewer The BMC MainView Console Automation Viewer is the primary application for mainframe operators. MVCA Viewers are defined by administrators and are launched by operators from the Automation Viewers page. Each defined viewer is listed on the page and is launched by clicking on the link. The + image displays the sessions available within the viewer and their operational statuses.
- Console-Consolidation-Servers The main Console Consolidation page allows you to view, modify or delete existing console servers and add new ones.
- BMC-MainView-Console-Automation The MainView Console Automation (MVCA) Server is the component that provides the message processing infrastructure. The Automation server can connect to many sessions, receive messages from each session, process rules for each message, and then send the messages to MVCA Viewers for operators to respond to the messages.
