Using the run-me-first.sh pre-installation script


The pre-installation process comprises the following steps:

  1. Download the pre-installation script package pre-install.tar.
  2. Use WinSCP or another utility that provides SSH-based file transfer and copy the script package to the target Linux system.

  3. Login to the Linux system. 

    Warning

    Note

    You do not need to be root to run the script although root access will be required later when you actually install the product.

  4. Extract the script using the command tar xf pre-install.tar.

  5. Run the script using the command ./run-me-first.sh.

    If critical or warning issues are found then contact support to discuss how these should be resolved.
