Access Control
The General Settings - Access Control page allows you to control what components of the web interface may be accessed by ordinary users.
Checking this box will remove the Desktop Software Downloads button from the initial web page. The default is to show Desktop Software Downloads.

The following table describes the different options you have within the Access Control.

Hide User Manuals Access | Checking this box will remove User Manual Downloads button from the initial web page. The default is to show User Manuals. |
Hide Automation Viewers | Checking this box will remove the Automation Viewers button from the initial web page. The default is to show Automation Viewers. |
Hide CCS Consoles | Checking this box will remove the CCS Consoles button from the initial web page. The default is to show CCS consoles. |
Hide HMC Connections | Checking this box will remove the HMC Connections button from initial web page. The default is to show HMC connections. |
Hide Change Password | Checking this box will remove the Change Password from the initial web page. The default is to show Change Password. |
Hide What's New | Checking this box will remove the What's New from the initial web page. The default is to show the What's New. |
Viewer Launch | Select the type of Java client launched from the CCS Consoles and Automation Viewers pages. The choices are:

Edit Security Login Message | The Edit Security Login Message button invokes a dialog where a Security Login Message can be entered. This message is displayed before a user logs in to the MainView Console Management Administration web pages, a CCS Console session, or an MVCA viewer session. The text may be plain text, or any valid HTML text. If there is no text specified, the security message dialog is not displayed to the user before a login is required. Once the dialog is displayed, enter the desired text and click OK to save the text, or Cancel to discard the text and close the dialog. |
Edit Welcome Page Header and Edit Welcome Page Footer | The Welcome Page Header and Footer dialogs allow for text entered that is displayed on the main MainView Console Management web page. This text can incorporate security message, or other helpful text for users. Once the dialog is displayed, enter the desired text and click OK to save the text, or Cancel to discard the text and close the dialog. |
Apply | Click the Apply button to save any changes made to the settings. |
