Optimize STC access option

With the Optimize STC access option, you can specify whether Data Optimizer attempts to optimize a data set when it is accessed by a start task (STC) address space.

Values

This option has the following possible values:

  • Y - Data Optimizer attempts to optimize I/O when a data set is accessed by an STC address space and it meets all other selection criteria.
  • N - Data Optimizer does not attempt to optimize I/O when a data set is accessed by a STC address space.

Default value

N

DD overrides

This option does not provide a DD override.
