Event Object options

The Event Object options alters how Job Optimizer processes certain allocation events.

The type of event can either be an esoteric unit name (UNIT) or an SMS storage group (STORGRP) specification. When Job Optimizer processes a job that performs allocations that are defined by an Event object statement, it changes the allocation information to match the data that is in the object.

Define an Event object by specifying the following items:

  • Type of allocation event to process
  • Name of the allocation event to be altered (From)
  • New name for the allocation event (To)
