DDName Object options

Use the DDName Object options to specify how Job Optimizer will process a job that references a specified ddname.

When specifying a data definition (DD) name object, JCL naming conventions apply. Job Optimizer processes the ddname that is specified for this option in the manner that is specified by the UCF statement. Job Optimizer takes the action that is specified on the statement when a job that is being processed by Job Optimizer references this ddname.

Define a DDName object by specifying the following information:

  • ddname
  • Action to perform when Job Optimizer detects this ddname
  • Target BatchPlex-eligible image if you specify the TARGET action
