Pipe Handler

The Pipe Handler is activated for each pipe management or I/O operation that is performed by the application to the DD statement that is referencing a pipe (either explicitly defined or dynamically set by the Real-Time Job Handler).

The Pipe Handler manages all pipe activity (for example, pipe definition, pipe initialization, and pipe I/O) by using the services of the Job Optimizer Pipes address space. This process is transparent to the application program. The application continues using standard sequential data set processing.
