Starting the BMC Software Primary Subsystem

The BMC Software Primary Subsystem (BMCP) is required by the 

MainView Batch Optimizer 

Subsystem (MBOS).

Note

If you start the MBOS before starting the BMCP, the MBOS detects that the BMCP is not available, and enters a command to start the BMCP.

To start the BMCP

  1. Enter the following command:START bmcpproc
  2. (optional) Review the system log to ensure that the command completed successfully.BMCP responds with messages to indicate that it is available. Status messages are also displayed.
