Parallel steps processing for Control-M scheduling and control
Control-M handles a job that will be split by Job Optimizer in the same manner that it handles a sequential job. The scheduling process is similar to scheduling any batch job.
Only after the job starts execution in the system, Job Optimizer decides whether it will be split or not. Therefore, Control-M only monitors the original job. It has no control over the parallel steps that are executed outside of the original job. During the job execution, you can monitor the job steps by using option 3.W from the Control-M Active Environment screen. The displayed information is supplied by Job Optimizer, which monitors each step of the job.
