Pipe Control Task (PCT)

A task that is created by the pipe initialization process in the Job Optimizer Pipes address space to allocate the required buffers in the data space or in the coupling facility and prepare the pipe control blocks that are used during I/O. The PCT is active as long as the pipe is active. See also pipe, Job-Optimizer-Pipes2, and coupling-facility-CF.
