Converting the Continuous State Manager version 6 repository

If you currently use MainView AutoOPERATOR CSM to manage objects, TOM provides a conversion utility to convert the CSM object repository into TOM object definitions.

This conversion utility works only with MainView AutoOPERATOR CSM version 6.1.00 and later. It allows you to use a single CSM as a template for multiple conversions by using different pattern names while preventing the accidental destruction or corruption of current objects.

The CSM conversion utility can only be run after TOM version 2.1 (or later) is installed and active, and requires that you use an authorized terminal session. If an authorized terminal session is not used or the version of code in STEPLIB or LINKLST does not match the TOM version code, CSM conversion will fail with appropriate messages.

If an object had multiple parents in CSM, the TOM 2.1.00 conversion creates a set and the TOM 2.1.01 (and later) conversion makes multiple parents. If objects previously defined or converted from CSM require multiple dependencies, run a new CSM conversion at this maintenance release to define multiple parents.
