TOM registry size planning

TOM uses approximately 20 MB of registry space for 100 objects. BBSAMP member TOMALLOC Step 1 has an example of the DEFINE CLUSTER statement for allocating the VLDS (see the following example).

For example, if you plan to manage 400 objects in the Sysplex, you can add 100 objects to cover future growth and allocate 100 MB based on the calculation:

(500/100) * 20 MB = 100 MB

Sample for the DEFINE CLUSTER statement

         DEFINE CLUSTER( -

         NAME(#prefix#.#tomplex-name#.RGRY) -

         LINEAR -

         > -

         DATA( -

         MEGABYTES(100) -

         VOL(#volume#) -

         >

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
