Verify installation

Use the installation verification procedure (IVP) to verify that the MainView AutoOPERATOR product is properly installed and activated.

The IVP uses EXECs and internal Rules to test and verify various aspects of MainView AutoOPERATOR and you can view the results in the BBI Journal or with WTO messages (or both).

The IVP performs three kinds of analysis:

  • Basic functionality
  • Configuration
  • Optimization

The IVP EXECs and Rules use SHARED variables to perform the testing and verification. The SHARED variables use the prefix aao_ivp. MainView AutoOPERATOR deletes these variables when the IVP completes. If you have defined SHARED variables with the prefix aao_ivp in your automation, they might be modified and deleted by the IVP.
