Console consolidation (reducing the number of physical terminals associated with the information providers) is the next step.
Potentially, all sources could route important messages to a single terminal and utilize the MainView AutoOPERATOR Logging Facility. However, operations personnel often are responsible for different areas of the systems. For example, Network, DASD, OS/390, or subsystem operators generally deal with issues that are specific to a particular area.
