Scheduling EXECs
Each EXEC represents a unit of work that needs to be completed. Just as any system that handles requests to complete work, MainView AutoOPERATOR provides scheduling facilities for EXECs. EXECS are queued for execution to the following types of queues:
- Normal priority queue
- High priority queue
- Hot priority queue
You can further influence the scheduling of EXECs by specifying additional PRIORITY keywords, such as First, Single and Xsingle. You can specify one of the priority keywords in most of the same places where automation schedules EXECs such as:
- Rule-initiated EXECs
- IMFEXEC SELECT command
- AOEXEC SELECT command
- AOSUBX command
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
