Creating a new calendar definition base
Follow the same steps to create a new calendar definition base or edit and change the default calendar definition base.
To create a new calendar definition base
- On the TOM Easy Menu, place your cursor on the Object/Calendar Bases menu item under Admin Activities and press Enter.
- On the COMMAND line, type ADD and press Enter.The ADD (New) Definition Base dialog is displayed.
- In the New Def Base name field, specify the 1- to 24-character name of the new calendar definition base.
- In the New Def Base type field, select Calendar.
- (optional) In the Sysplex field, specify a different Sysplex name.
- (optional) In the Description field, enter a description for the calendar definition base.
Press PF3 or type END and press Enter to save and exit.
To add or update a calendar
A calendar entry is a definition of a period of time. You can specify a day of the week, a time period, a date or time range, or a combination of any of the above.
- To add a new entry, enter the primary command ADD in the TCALENT view.The Calendar Entry Add/Edit dialog is displayed.
To update an existing entry, use the Edit line command.The Calendar Entry Add/Edit dialog is displayed.
