Where variables can be entered
You can use variables in the following fields for an object’s definition:
- Descriptionfield

- Timeout field
- Cmd console name field
- Server name field
- STC name field
- Step name field
- Start command field
- Stop command field
- Pre-start and pre-stop EXEC name and parameters
- Post-start and post-stop EXEC name and parameters
- Parent Strength field
- Parent object or set name field
- Child to Parent Dependency Strength field
- On System field
- Userid field for all commands
- Spawn Name field for all commands
- Connect command field
- Active Check Command field
- Disconnect command field
- Verify Start Default field
- Verify Start Timeout field
- Verify Stop Default field
- Verify Stop Timeout field
- Recover command field
- Start verification field
- Stop verification field
- In the following fields in the dialog for the MSG, CMD, ALRT, or JRNL events for the Startup, Shutdown, and Abnormal termination validations:
