Collecting system information to build iCap policies

Before creating a policy, you need to collect system information that can help you build the most effective policy.

To get started, BMC recommends that you first run iCap in observe mode and do not specify a policy, as discussed in Running-iCap-in-observe-mode-to-collect-data.

You can also collect detailed system information by accessing the iCap reports from Cost Management, as discussed in Collecting-system-information-from-Cost-Analyzer.
