Setting panel options (option 5)

Panel Options enables you to verify or change the general setting that Implementation Assist will use when generating JCL.

You must have performed the Allocation operation at least once. If you haven’t, the Data Set Allocation panel opens first.

To set panel options:

  1. In the Implementation Assist Primary Menu enter 5 (Setting panel options) in the option select space.

  2. Verify or type values in the fields of the General Settings panel.The panel primes these fields with values that you entered in data set allocation. The panel also uses the default values from the Trial utility for the DATA ACCELERATOR Compression product.

    Note

    The General Settings panel is a scrollable panel. Press F7 (DOWN) and F8 (UP) to display all fields on the panel.

    After you complete the Panel Options, proceed to 'Searching for Candidates (Option 1).'
