Viewing the Plan Evaluation Summary Report
You can view the changes executed on a CPC, LPAR or workload in a plan. Whenever you make changes to objects within a plan, you can view the results in the Plan Evaluation Summary Report.
To view the Plan Evaluation Summary Report
- Use either of the following methods to access the report:
- In the Actions pane, click the View plan evaluation results button (
).
- After executing a change in a plan, click Yes when prompted to view the evaluation results.
The Planning tool opens a Plan Evaluation Summary Report with rows that list MLC Products and columns that display relevant data as shown in the following figure:

If the data in a column can be sorted, when you hover the mouse over the column header, the header is highlighted.
The columns contain data similar to the Monthly Summary Report. For a description of each column, see Quick-tour-of-the-Monthly-Summary-Report.
The following table describes the columns that are unique to this report:

Cost Change | The change in cost resulting from the changes made to the plan |
Old R4HA First Peak (MSU) | R4HA value in the cost model that was used to build this plan The old value designates the starting value before the changes were executed. |
Old R4HA First Peak Date | Date and time of the old R4HA Peak (MSU) |
The Cost Change column details any change to the cost of the MLC Product caused by the LPAR move. A cost reduction is indicated by a green triangle ( ) and the amount of the gain. A cost increase is indicated by a red triangle (
) and the amount of the loss.
You can scroll to the bottom of the report to view a tally of the gain, loss, and difference.
